What is Microblading (Semi permanent, Eyebrow Embroidery,

Hair Stroke Technique) method?

•  Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is a relatively new, manual method. It is considered to be semi-permanent, as compared to the traditional hairstroke technique. It is done by using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis. Because we’re impacting color closer to the surface, the strokes appear crisp and very fine. There is no “spilling” under the skin.

 

•  This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present.  People suffering from alopecia, trichotillomania or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren't happy with their eyebrows.

•  The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them. The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

• The results can last anywhere from  1 to 2 years, depending on different factors affecting the procedure. However, a touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.

Are you insured/licensed and certified?

 

I am licensed and certified brow stylist, trained and certified in microblading by Everlasting Brows, out of London.

Time for scheduled procedure?

 

The procedure itself takes approximately one hour. However, on your first visit, please expect your appointment to last about 2 hours, which will include the consultation and pre-draw.

​

Is there a permanent tattoo gun used or manual tool?

 

Eyebrow microblading is totally different from traditional tattooing, we use a hand tool to insert the pigment into the skin in fine, lines that mimic hair strokes with a natural look.

Is the client able to decide on their shape and pigment of brows?

 

During your consultation, client and artist will discuss your preferences. Together, we will pre-draw the shape and design of your brows, the tattooing process will not begin, until client has approved the color and design that will satify the ideal shape for the client and a perfect shape.

Is the process of microblading painful?

 

Eyebrow microblading is non invasive, and therefor not as painful, as a traditional tattoo. A topical numbing cream is applied to the brow area prior to the procedure to minimize discomfort. 

Is there any downtime?

 

You can go right back to work after the procedure. However, your brow area may feel tender and slightly swollen for a few days. You may resume exercise after 6 days. I advise against swimming or drenching your brows with water for one week, until your brows are fully healed. Clients brows will be slightly darker than normal, and brows will go through a peeling period, until fading 30% of pigment.

What is the healing process for clients?

 

Client brows should be fully healed within 7-10 days, but a touch up appt is needed in 4-6 weeks after first procedure to ensure the pigment has not faded and is perfectly shaped for approval of client. 

​

What will my brows look while they are healing?

 

The tattoo will look up to 30% darker and larger during the first week, until it fully heals.  During the healing process, the tattoo may form a light scab or crust. This is not very noticeable and can be concealed with brow gel or powder after 6 days until the scab fully comes off in 7-10 days. We suggest NO MAKEUP is applied for 5-7 days because it is an open cut on your brows and we want our clients to have amazing results.

What aftercare products should I use?

 

Summer will supply you with an aftercare balm to apply while the tattoo heals. You should also buy baby wipes or water wipes to cleanse the tattooed area for the first week.

​

How do I prolong the life of my eyebrow tattoo?

 

To keep your tattoo looking its best, avoid splashing it with water for the first week after the procedure. Always wear sunscreen on the tattooed area when you are exposed to the sun or it can fade. Avoid exfoliating the tattooed area and wax your brows, the newly grown in area. Try not to wax the actual microbladed area of your brows, as it can fade the tattoo.

How long should I wait before my first touch-up appointment?

The first touch-up should be scheduled 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure and is free of charge. This appointment is to perfect the shape and color of your tattoo and to darken any areas that may have healed too light.

How often will I need touch-ups?

 

After the initial touch-up, your tattoo will not fade completely for up to 2 years. I recommend scheduling touch-ups at least once a year to keep the color fresh. Touch-ups will cost $75-$200, depending on how long you wait between appointments.

Microshading Method:

​

This particular method of eyebrow embroidery gives the brow more of a "makeup/filled in look" Clients that enjoy a very defined brow truly loves this brow. Many clients are loving the new look because they are "get up and go" that you don't have to worry about ever having to fill in your brows daily. The difference between Microblading and Microshading is that microblading will have a very natural "hair stroke" in your brows to make them fuller. Microshading will look as if there is powder applied to your brows daily. Both methods are amazing and the results will look natural as possible. As a certified artist, those that have a very thin/sparse brow would prefer the microshading combo method.

Clients that are available for a consultation, are more than welcome to come into our brow studio and we will go over the process and your desired shape and color of brows. We are able give you the brows of your dreams. Many of our clients are those that are beautiful cancer survivors, alopecia patients and those that just want that extra pop to accent your beauty we cater to all. Aftercare: Clients will receive aquaphor to use on their brows as they heal. We ask that you don't saturate brows with water for atleast 5 days to allow them to fully heal. We advice against swimming, sweating, workouts etc until the brow has peeled.

REFUND POLICY:

 

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There will be no refunds for any beauty services rendered by Aperfectlash or artist Summer Reign. Clients are given full disclosure and also sign a consent form for all services performed.  To reserve an appointment a retainer/deposit may be required. 

​

Training fees for students are non refundable. There is a $500 deposit required to schedule each training class. If student is unable to arrange travel or unable to attend class, it can be reschedled in case of any unfortunate event. 

​
